The dive masters were very helpful and the guys in the boats were as well. I wished that I had tip money with me, but I didn't. So I wanted to try to make up for it by saying that these gentlemen were very accommodating with my bad back and really enhanced the experiences I had, making my dives feel very safe, yet I saw more sea life than ever. | Comments: | Mayan Gold Shines Again........ My wife and I recently returned to the all-inclusive Club Cozumel Caribe on the picturesque island of Cozumel in the Mexican Caribbean. Returning to C.C.C. is always like a homecoming for us. The friendly staff and romantic architecture of the hotel brings forth images of old Mexico. Currently run by Juan and Inez Barbachano, C.C.C. instills a special charm. Built in 1959 by Juan’s father, Don Fernando Barbachano, the hotel lies on pristine white sand beach just north of pueblo San Miguel. While not a 5 star hotel, divers like myself are only interested in 5 Stars when it comes to a P.A.D.I. facility. The rooms and food more than adequately meet all our needs. After check-in, we were not surprised and were greatly relieved to learn the previous dive shop/operator was gone. Enough said. Juan Barbachano had the insight to bring in Sand Dollar Sports as the new on-site dive operator. With this one stroke, he elevated C.C.C. back to a true one stop dive resort. Sand Dollar is a first rate, fully equipped dive operation. It’s owners, Suzanne Fernandez, a tough ol’ Texas gal, and John Flynn, a California surfer dude, have high standards and are as professional as they come. Full tanks, fast boats and safety conscious dive masters. | Comments: | Just got back last week from diving with your excellant organization. Did 5 2 tank dives including a wreck dive and a night dive. The dive shop employees, dive masters and boat crew were excellant and helpful, especially Miguel and Victor. I noticed that some of the comments complained about having to carry their weights, in my case 16 pounds, from your shop to the dock about 100 yards. In my opinion this is rather petty, we need the exercise, nobody that I dove with seemed to mind. Also the walk along the beach and boardwalk from the Reef Club to the dive shop was not an inconvenience-2 minutes from my room. | Comments: | I went to Cozumel 5years ago on a cruise & for some reason I was expecting a lot of poverty, litter & crime, that was absolutely the opposite! The Reef Club was very clean, every one was very nice & the food was good. A perfect resort for a reasonable price. We felt very safe on the island, we went downtown 3 times (at night), it was spotless. Everyone downtown was nice & helpful, they were not pushy in the stores at all. We rented a car & drove around the entire island. We stopped at every little beach bar, enjoyed the sights & the locals. And finally I cannot say enough about our diving experience. Sand Dollar Sports (the dive shop) was excellent. They we so professional, knowledgeable & helpful. My husband & I are fairly new divers & we felt very comfortably with the dive shop. From the front desk to the divemasters, boat captains & boat helpers they were all superb. Through Bay Adventures we booked 5 days of 2 tank boat dives. We ended up doing (purchasing) 3 extra dives including a deep dive & a night dive. Every single dive was incredibly beautiful, words cannot even describe. Also, the convenience of the dive shop to the resort was also wonderful. It was just a 3min walk from our room to the dive shop. It was truly an effortless trip, basically we sat on the boat & every thing else was done for us. My husband & I have already decided that we will defiantly return to the Reef Club & use Sand Dollar Sports again. Actually the day after we got home we started shopping for our own equipment, because it was such a positive experience! Thank you for helping us to plan such an awesome trip. Please keep us in mind if you have any specials to the Reef Club / Sand Dollar Sports in the future. | Comments: | My husband and I just took a trip to Cozumel on the Jubilee Ship (Carnival Cruise Lines)at the end of January. We went to Sandollar Sports for our first opportunity to scuba dive. Upon first arriving we went through the verbal lesson with a very nice young lady and prepared for our first dive ever. As we got on our mask, fins and tanks I began to panic. At the last minute I told my husband that I couldn't do it. I was too afraid. Our instructor, Mario, would not let me back out. He helped me overcome my fear and actually held my hand underwater for three quarters of the dive. I cannot tell you how grateful I was to him for not allowing me to "chicken out". It was the most memorable part of our trip! Please, tell him thank you for me and give him a raise in pay! We will be returning to Cozumel in September or October and will definately stop by your place again. | Comments: | We recently dove with your crew as a shore excursion from our Carnival cruise. Not only was the diving superb, but your boat crew, divers, and team were top notch. I can only describe them as a "class act" group. We were thrilled with their knowledge, professionalism, friendliness, and skill. In addition, the videographers were top notch. They were a great part of the dive team and did a fabulous job of capturing the essence of the dive in a high quality video. | Comments: | I have to say, been to many great diving locations. The Group I was there with (State Park Dive Shop) had the time of our lives. Bazooka was the best DM I have ever had and all the others that were with are group were great from what others tell me. Even the Capt was great and helpful. Everyone on the boat had the time of their lives. Please tell Bazooka that slim says "hay" he will remember me. I am telling all that I know that ever go to Coz to check out SDS operation, for it is top notch and so glad to see that great operations are still around.

| Comments: | We just returned from our trip to Cozumel and had to report how exceptional our diving experiences with Sand Dollar were. Although I had taken a Discover Scuba class in Wisconsin, I did my first open-water dives in Cozumel and had the time of my life! The Instructors were fabulous-Oscar, Pedro and Jorge made each dive exciting and secure for me. They made me feel as if my dive was the most important dive of anyone on the boat and they made sure I enjoyed myself. We had a chance to try a competitor Dive Shop in town and were amazed at the difference-Sand Dollar was much more user-friendly and helpful and were much more professional. We have already recommended them to others and will not hesitate to return for more incredible diving experiences! | Comments: | I was on Carnival Cruise line Dec 28th and signed up for your scuba diving tour. Your staff that day was most excellent. We had a great time diving on the wall and on the reef for the second dive. Your staff was very helpful in helping us on board, taking our B.C.'s off our back and even got our second tanks ready with our B.C.'s. What very nice service! They were very nice and we enjoyed this tour the best! I will highly recommend Sand Dollar to everyone I know that is going to Cozumel. When I return to Cozumel, I will definitely dive again with you. I left my underwater camera on board the dive boat after we were dropped off at the dock to our cruise ship. Your staff returned the camera to your main office and I was able to get it back that night. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Your dive shop and staff are the best!! I can't wait to return.
